I started my L&D career as a performance coach and face-to-face trainer almost 10 years ago. Since then I've worked as an instructional designer e-learning developer learning experience designer and founded my own company 'evolve learning design'.

With so many people and products in the learning and development space screaming at the top of their lungs about engagement, we need to take a step back and think about what we're actually talking about.
In this session, we'll look at what the evidence says about learner engagement; what it is, why it's important, and most importantly how to create it.
Spoiler alert: despite what you've been told chances are you do not have an engagement problem, and you don't need that new shiny bit of technology.
